An accessibility widget is not a substitute for a proper audit, and we would rather say that up front than bury it in a caveat at the end. With that said, a widget is often the fastest way to make visible, immediate improvements while a deeper remediation project is underway, and the differences between vendors are bigger than the near-identical feature lists suggest.

We ranked these seven primarily on what happens beyond the initial script install: standards mapping relevant to where you actually operate, whether monitoring and manual review are bundled or sold separately, and pricing transparency.

  1. Wawsome

Leads this list for the combination of an AI-assisted widget, continuous monitoring and a manual checker in one subscription, with EAA and EN 301 549 mapping built in from the start rather than added on.

    • Combines a widget with a manual, human-reviewed audit rather than shipping automation alone
    • Built around EU regulation from the outset, with explicit EAA and EN 301 549 mapping for Romanian, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Swiss, Austrian and UK requirements
    Visit Wawsome
  2. EqualWeb

A wide spread of pricing tiers and a genuine path to manual remediation as a separate service, which suits businesses that expect to outgrow automation alone.

    • Wide spread of pricing tiers, from small single-site plans to large enterprise agreements
    • Offers manual remediation as a distinct paid service rather than automation alone
    Visit EqualWeb
  3. AudioEye

Publicly traded and explicit about combining automation with human-in-the-loop manual testing through its Accessibility Management Platform.

    • Publicly traded (Nasdaq-listed), which brings a level of public financial reporting most competitors don't have
    • Explicitly combines automation with human manual testing rather than automation alone
    Visit AudioEye
  4. AccessiWay

Strong choice specifically for Italian and EU public-sector buyers, thanks to deep familiarity with the Stanca Act alongside the EAA.

    • Deep familiarity with Italian public-sector accessibility law (the Stanca Act) alongside the EAA
    • Pairs the widget with consulting rather than selling automation alone
    Visit AccessiWay
  5. Eye-Able

The strongest pick for German and Austrian public institutions navigating BITV 2.0 alongside EAA requirements.

    • Strong positioning in the German-speaking market and public-sector procurement
    • Combines the widget with a documented audit process
    Visit Eye-Able
  6. UserWay

The most recognizable name in the category, with a genuinely useful free tier for very small sites and a large integration ecosystem.

    • One of the longest-established names in the widget category, with broad brand recognition
    • Large plugin ecosystem (Shopify, WordPress, Wix and others)
    Visit UserWay
  7. accessiBe

A large, heavily marketed vendor; worth reading the FTC's 2025 order about accessWidget's automation claims before you rely on marketing copy alone.

    • Large customer base and one of the most marketed names in the overlay category
    • Bundles litigation-support paperwork with subscriptions
    Visit accessiBe

What we did not rank here

Deque and Allyant are not on this list because they are not really widget vendors in the same sense: Deque sells developer testing tooling built on axe-core, and Allyant specializes in large-scale document and PDF remediation. Both are worth a look if a script-tag widget is not what you actually need. See our guides on choosing between a widget and a manual audit, and on PDF remediation specifically.

If you are trying to decide whether a widget is the right starting point at all, our guide to what accessibility overlays can and cannot fix walks through the independent research on that question in more detail.
