best-accessibility.com is a research and comparison resource covering web accessibility software: overlay widgets, manual audit services, monitoring platforms and document remediation tools. We publish reviews, head-to-head comparisons, buyer’s guides and data-driven reports aimed at people who have to choose a vendor and make a compliance deadline.

What we cover

Our library spans individual tool reviews, side-by-side comparisons, “best of” roundups organized by use case (e-commerce, public sector, enterprise, budget), plain-language guides to standards like WCAG, the ADA and the European Accessibility Act, and research pieces built on public data such as the WebAIM Million report and published lawsuit statistics.

Our methodology

We evaluate tools against the same set of criteria in every review: what the tool actually does (automated widget, manual audit, continuous monitoring, or some combination), which standards it maps to (WCAG version, EN 301 549, ADA, Section 508), how pricing is structured, what independent sources say about real-world effectiveness, and what the vendor’s own documentation and public filings state. Where a claim is disputed or has drawn regulatory attention, such as the FTC’s 2025 action against accessiBe over misleading automation claims, we link the primary source rather than repeating the claim unchallenged. Editorial ratings, “best of” rankings and the full nine-step process behind them are documented in detail on our methodology page.

We do not accept payment from vendors in exchange for a specific ranking or a positive review. Some outbound links to vendor websites on this site may be affiliate or referral links; this does not change the price you pay.

Articles do not carry individual bylines. Each page shows its publish and, where relevant, last-updated date instead. A single small editorial team researches, writes and maintains this site.

Corrections

Accessibility tooling changes quickly: pricing, feature sets and even company ownership shift often. If something on this site is out of date or wrong, email contact@best-accessibility.com or use the contact form, and we will review and update the relevant page.
